EXPERIENCE
I put my journalism skills to good use to ensure content is on message but avoids being too heavily ‘branded’ where possible. After all, I want to make sure copy is high quality, engaging, and genuinely useful to its readers. Today, we all have short attention spans—who really is going to read to the end if what you’re writing is just a sales pitch? I have experience in industries including sustainability, femtech, technology, food, fashion, design, property, finance, and retail. I am also a chatbot copywriter.
Freely x Everyone TV
I supported the Everyone TV team in producing the website copy for the launch of Freely, a new TV service led by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and Channel 5.
St-Germain Liqueur x Bacardi
I produced a series of SEO-focused articles for Bacardi’s St-Germain Liqueur. The editorial articles focused on topics including the art of hosting and the history of elderflowers.
Sheba® x AMV BBDO
I worked with award-winning agency AMV BBDO as a copywriter on the Sheba Hope Grows project. I wrote the hub copy, a website which tells the story of the world’s largest coral reef restoration program. The project has gained a huge amount of press coverage, including Forbes and Campaign magazine. It also featured in National Geographic.
ITV
I worked with ITV to entirely rewrite their B2B ITV Media website, which informs businesses of all sizes about opportunities to advertise within the channel. I quickly became up to speed on various packages and how ITV’s offering could be adapted based on companies’ requirements and budget. A large amount of copy was needed for the site, so I created a comprehensive system which allowed for efficient feedback.
The Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University – School of International and Public Affairs x noformat
Columbia University is one of the world’s most important research centers, with the Center on Global Energy Policy (CGEP) helping to address the most challenging global energy and climate problems. I wrote the website for CGEP’s new digital presence.
Refresh Britain x Stonehaven
Wrote the website for the not-for-profit initiative, Refresh Britain, which is helping people breathe new life into their neighbourhoods by improving air quality.
Tuune
I work with the world's first personalised contraceptive service, Tuune. I wrote the website, which fills the community in on the important service and lets them know how they can get involved. I also write regular articles related to hormonal health.
Deltatre
I managed the production of Deltatre’s new website from an editorial perspective. The B2B tech company is behind many of the world’s leading sport and entertainment fan experiences, and specialises in OTT, broadcast, live, digital, and design. The work included interviewing the company's executives to write in-depth profile pieces as well as producing a content-rich careers section where I interviewed staff across different industries to show potential candidates what life at the company is really like. I worked with global internal stakeholders, managed the approval process, and uploaded content directly into the CMS.
Guinness x AMV BBDO
I worked with Guinness and advertising agency AMV BBDO to write a web page about Guinness’ long history in sustainability.
Siemens x R/GA
For two years, I worked with Digital Innovation Agency of the Year (2017 & 2018), R/GA. My work included identifying and interviewing Siemens staff across the globe to create articles for Future Makers, the company’s employer branding site. These covered a huge range of topics, including inclusivity and diversity at work, oil rigs of the future, missing planes, danger engineers, and learning from fear. Many of my stories were published in a physical Future Makers book, which was sent to thousands of Siemens’ employees worldwide. I also led tone of voice workshops to educate staff about how to follow a consistent tone of voice.
Envato
I write for the Melbourne-based digital subscription company, which has millions of members. Articles include trends, and how and why to download design templates. Content is aimed at audiences including sports teams, retailers, and entrepreneurs.
Tuts+
I am a web design instructor for Envato’s Tuts+ platform and write regular long-form tutorials. The topics largely relate to WordPress tips and templates, with audiences including cleaning companies, medical practices, and crowdfunding organisations.
Adobe
I came up with ideas and wrote weekly articles for Adobe’s Creative Connections blog, which is primarily read by creatives. This often involved researching technical topics and I would share the articles on their social media channels.
GORE-TEX®
I wrote, researched and came up with ideas for long-form blog content for waterproof clothing brand GORE-TEX® as part of a wider competition campaign. Articles included light painting, dog walking, and photography tips.
Delancey
I was the editor for the London-based website London Living, owned by property developer Delancey. I led editorial meetings with a fellow writer to come up with, and produce, content ideas such as ‘top fives’ and interviews.
Sandaire
I worked with an investment office for wealthy families to produce blog content, including a theatre review and an interview with a millennial with no farming experience who set up a chicken farm in Rwanda.
Halina Mutinta
I worked with Brighton-based jeweller, Halina Mutinta, to rewrite her bio and product descriptions. I interviewed Halina to understand her life story, inspirations, and processes, which all guided my copywriting.
